Basic to this approach is the belief that the mind and
body are an inseparable system. Our minds have only the limitations we
place on them.
Our beliefs about ourselves and our world govern all our experiences.
Our images are self-fulfilling prophecies. Our belief systems -- especially
the way we see ourselves and the universe -- have a direct relationship
to our health. When we change our belief systems, we change the condition
of our health. WHAT WE ENVISION IN LIFE IS WHAT WE GET!
If you can recognize that you have a part in creating illness -- through
your thoughts, and beliefs -- then you can accept that you have a part
in creating your wellness. If you have mind-induced dis-ease, why not
mind induced health?
Pain and dis-ease is NOT necessarily bad for us -- and may actually be
good for us -- since it can be seen as an expression or warning that there
is an imbalance in our lives. If you understand and respond to the message,
it could be potentially regenerative.
Good health is peace of mind. It is a reflection of being in harmony with
yourself physically, psychologically, and spiritually -- and extending
that harmony to your total environment. This environment includes your
family, peers, job situation, and living conditions. No doctor or medical
therapy can do that for you.
YOUR WELL BEING IS ULTIMATELY YOUR OWN PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY.
If you can accept and believe that thoughts and beliefs
can take root and grow in your body as well as in your mind, then it is
just a short step to considering that as you deliberately change your
thoughts, you deliberately change your body as well. CHANGE THE THOUGHTS
AND THE BODY -- ENVIRONMENT -- CONFORMS!
The key is RELAXATION. Letting
yourself go into relaxation is like dimming the lights in a movie theater
-- it lets you see the images on the screen. In relaxed visualization
you do not make something happen---------YOU ALLOW IT TO HAPPEN!
